Packing Tip #2 – Woodland Wear

Posted by on June 14, 2012

“How many camp T-shirts do I really need to buy for my child for camp???” is a frequent question that I hear.

On the camp packing list, it may look like you may have to buy a lot of camp gear.  Camp clothing is never out of style (see our proud Alumni) and often becomes the most favorite item’s in your camper’s wardrobe. However, you may be relieved to hear that one Camp Woodland T-shirt & one Woodland Jacket will meet your camper’s summer dress needs.

At camp every Sunday, we show our camp spirit by wearing our Woodland wear.  There are also special events where each cabin shows their pride and unity via Woodland attire.

Buying a camp jacket is a great investment for enjoying cooler Wisconsin evenings.   It’s also a great way to show off a camper’s progress, with all the badges she’s earned each summer.  I recommend that you to buy their jacket big, so they can wear it for a couple of summers!!

So while you can never have too much Camp Woodland clothing, your camper will be very happy with these two basic essentials (T-Shirt & Jacket).

It is never to late to buy woodland wear for the summer at Cloz Camp Outfitters: http://www.cloz.com/woodland

Lindsay’s Day as OD

Posted by on August 5, 2011

Dear OD log,
My last day as OD ; so depressing. I can not believe it is the end of my second CIT year. Well I did the normal OD duties in the morning and I got to drive the golf cart , not once but TWICE. Oh ya!
And I got to fold and lick every single letter home.
Well in the afternoon I got made fun of my by Almu and Arantxa, for not wanting to get in the water. Thanks girls. Good job Emma, Collette and Claire.
I had a beautiful hour off, but I missed evening assembly because I was at the nurse. So I didn’t get to do the roll, it was depressing. Well I have had a great two years being a CIT.
Signing off forever, rest of my life.

You girls are crazy! After a yummy lunch we had a lovely resthour full of Co-ed show practice and showering, Ski help was a BLAST! TUBING! I love being OD because you can go twice ☺ I had a fantastic tube ride with Sam and Corrine. Sam we can do it! Just don’t fall off! And sorry Almu and Aranxa but you can’t go again! I also had good bonding time with Sarah Fischer in between rides reminiscing about past years and how cute it was when my cabin did Maroon 5 for lip sing my second year. Do you know that I have been coming to camp for 54 weeks?

Dearest OD Log,
My last time being Od, ever, tear. I had a blast doing my morning duties in the office, no Ana Pau you did not get a bunk note , sorry, maybe tomorrow.
During rec swim there were a lot of skiers and kneeboarder, good job to everyone who tried. Collette and Daphne did a really great job trying to ski for the first time. Then I got to ski for the first time in a while. It was scary, but I made it all the way around surprisingly. I must have been shaking for an hour after skiing from being so weak. I had the best day ever. Go out with a bang Aquarius.
Signing off forever,
PLT
