Lots of great activity at the Waterfront!

• Anna Z won Sail Race today
• Amelia D. made her first Mooring of the summer at Sailing
• Ana Paul T. passed level 6 in Instructional Swimming

In the Afternoon we had a small amount of Woodland Dew and the Tennis class had a ping pong tournament.  Cayley V.  took the class by storm and won the Ping Pong Tournament!

Great job girls!  Today is going to be a great day for sailing-sunny and windy 🙂

The first session has ended and there is a flurry of happiness at the waterfront.  Girls are passing swimming levels left and right!  We follow the American Red Cross Swimming program and all girls at Camp Woodland  get to take instructional swim class until they  pass out of level 6.

Happy 4th of July everyone!

Horseback Riding –  Taylor H and Aubrey B.  won “rock collection contest” at the arena.  Picking up rocks is an essential responsibility of horse caretaking.  If there are even the smallest stones in the arena, the horses could hurt themselves. Way to go girls!  They both got to choose their favorite horse to ride in their classes today!

Sailing – Nyki made her first Mooring!

Archery- Nyki passed White Yoeman in Archery.  Way to pass your first level!

Riflery

Tennis Class: The girls have been practicing hard and are ready for the World Cup Challenge next week!

Riflery Class:

• Ana Paula G. scored 3 bullseyes in 1 target! 
• Gianna C. passed Promarksman
• Cayley V. passed Marksman

Archery Class: Sydnie passed blue Bowman and Archer.  She is now going to shoot at 40 yrds from the target!

Sailing Class: Jenna and Isa C. windsurfed for the first time!

Recreational Swim:

• Parker H. and Ali got up on skis and went all they way around the lake
• Isa got up on the kneeboard and went all the way around the lake

It is the second week at camp and confidence levels are blooming.  The girls are excited to try new skills and working towards their summer goals.  They are also eagerly awaiting the “Shows” this Saturday.  At the end of every 2 week session- gymnastics, dance, and drama classes entertain the camp by putting on a performance. I got to sneak in to each class, and it is really special to see these girls working together to be prepared for Saturday night.

Also, this week the weather is gorgeous, and the waterfront is the place to be!  Girls are trying water skiiing, and knee boarding. Sunnyside Cabin went over to Towering Pines and got to bounce on the water trampoline for cabin Night!

Parents – You are invited to come to the Dance, Drama, and Gymnastics Shows.  The Entertainment starts at 7:15 sharp in front of the Rec Hall!
